Annandale Falls is idyllic picturesque waterfall which is located a bit to the central-western part of the Caribbean island nation of Grenada. Sine the waterfall is located in the vicinity of the capital city, St. George’s, Annandale Falls is one of the most visited tourist attractions on the island as it requires almost no hiking in order to reach it.
This amazingly gorgeous feature from Grenada is some 10 meters (32 feet) in height, while the water that falls down the rocks, goes into a deep pool which is also very good for swimming.
Surrounded by high rocks which are covered in soft ferns and other vegetation, there is a short hiking trail that leads to the mesmerizing waterfall, however, it must be well noted that the trail showcases some of the local vegetation with signs so that the visitors would be able to learn about the amazing flora of the island.
Unfortunately, due to the easy access, there are a lot of people coming here, especially when there is a cruise ship in port. That is why, it is always recommended to come as early as possible so that Annandale Falls would be seen in their true glory with no people around. In conclusion, a breathtaking treasure from the small Caribbean nation that deserves to be well known around the world, simply because of its high drop and turquoise water.
